Eating from the Pantry Challenge

Photobucket

What we have eaten:

My mom made us lasagna and brought it over

Ramen Noodles, I still didn't feel like cooking and the kids love this stuff!

Tonight I made salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and biscuits

This week has been quite the adjustment. Getting them all back on schedule after a long school break is tough. So it has been way too exhausting to even sit down and meal plan.

So far I have had to buy juice which Luckily I got from Target $2 for 2 Juices, and 1 gallon of milk $3.49.

I did make another trip to Shoprite, My husband is a major Coca Cola drinker and I don't want to pass up the 5/$10 sale, but of course I had to spen $10 to get that price, so there went $21.00 out of my budget. I did however get some things to add to dinners. I meant to get some fast Fixin chicken nuggets but for some reason the Shoprite I went to did not have anything Fast Fixin. I'll probably have my mom pick some up for me at the Commissary, it is much cheaper there anyway.

Eating from the Pantry Day 2 and 3

Photobucket

I have been a bit lazy with the meal planning, hopefully once we get back into the school routine I can get back on track.

Yesterday I made Tony's single serve pizza's for everyone, which I got free at Weis.  I sure hope they come out with another $.50 off a Tony's Single Serve, this pizza is surprisingly really good.

Today I again waited until the last minute to decide on dinner and had to improvise.  We had chicken fajitas made with taco seasoning and homemade refried beans I made a while back and froze.

I am still getting the hang of making meals and freezing them.  The beans were just ok, next time I think I will just refry the beans and add seasonings later.

Coby Isolation Stereo Earphones $5.53

Possibly $5.53 shipped if you are a Prime Member. My daugher goes through these like crazy because she leaves out her MP3 player and one or both of her brothers gets to them and destroys them so this is a great price!

First Shopping trip of 2010

Photobucket
My husband and I managed to get away without the kids to do some shopping for the house at Ikea and then at Shoprite.  Bringing my husband into Shoprite wasn't such a good idea because he has no sense of saving money and getting deals.
